Former astronaut: 'US have been withholding evidence'

Washington(ANP) - The American government have been withholding evidence about the existence of extra-terrestrial aliens for more than 50 years. This was said by witnesses during a press conference of the Disclosure Project.

Among the witnesses is a retired astronaut, reported the US newspaper the Washington Times last Friday. Edgar Mitchell was the sixth man on the moon, during Apollo mission 14 in 1971. He is one of the 400 witnesses that were brought together by Steven Green(! - editor - this is what was in the article), director of the disclosure project. He wants to convince the US Congress to hold hearings on the subject of UFO's. Mitchell, who now works as an consultant to the television series 'X-files', more that once says to have seen withheld evidence to the existence of UFO's.

The Apollo astronaut was not present during the press conference. Twenty retired officers of the US air force - including space agency NASA - and intelligence talked about their own experiences with UFO's.

The investigators of the Disclosure Project have been searching for reliable witnesses of UFO's for years. They are now coming forward, because they claim to have evidence for technologies that would make existing energy sources such as oil unnecessary. The US government is said to purposely withhold this information, while the application of it could drastically change the earth.
